I did not raise any of my steering components. The only thing I did related to steering was flip the tierod to the bottom of the spindle. The reason I didn't raise any of the steering is because I was worried about the same thing you are. When I looked everything over before disassembly the center link was already pretty close to the oil pan, well within the 1.5" that I sectioned mine. I'm not sure how guys are avoiding this clash when raising their steering with their sectioned crossmembers. Maybe they are moving the motor back?
