Back when I was having hot start problems, one of the things I did was to run the battery ground cable directly to a starter motor mounting bolt. I'd have to go back and see if that actually helped. The reasoning is sound, though. A little resistance here, a little resistance there...when you're running a lot of amps, it makes a difference.
