I took out a 250 and I believe the starter had 3 bolts horizontally installed to the bell housing of the 4 sp. I put in a 350 and starter with its vertically mounted bolts to the engine block. I used the same clutch and flywheel as off the 250. Everything fit. At least that's the way I remember it. I suppose it must have had the smaller flywheel.

Edit: Oops I was wrong. Still using the 250 starter with the 3 horizontal bolts.
