FINALLY. Have an update.

So I finally got back to Texas and ended up selling the 61. I had bought it from my dad but hadn't seen it in about 7 years. Since then the roof had started to leak pretty bad and there were rust issues all across the front of the cab and leaking down the posts. Made it an easy decision to focus on the 79'. Fortunately it found a new home pretty quick and I'm happy with the decision.

Back to the 79.

So last I had heard the wheel fell off and it no longer started. No clue on why either was happening but I could only assume the battery had died and the wheel issue, no idea.

I figured the best option would be to load up a trailer, bring a friend and a bunch of tools and assess it when I finally got my hands on her again. Last time I had seen it was last September so I really didn't know what to expect.
