and just like that, the bed is installed. It went well, this is the first time I have used the engine hoist in this fashion, and it worked well. 2 straps going in a X with 4x4s being the lift point and a 2x6 keeping them from moving inward. I did run one strap to the tail gate to keep the pitch of the bed right, and used some wood and different weights to tilt or balance the bed. Thankfully I had the wheel dollys too, so I could move the truck and fine tune (30 year+ old hoist wheels dont like to move easy). It needs to come forward a few inches and I need to put the support pads on the mounts but otherwise its in its resting place!
