Heating is probably one of the most expensive cost here in the northeast . Unless you have the tools to mill your own wood most mills won’t touch a yard tree . To many signs ,wire fencing and other things nailed and screwed into them . I’ve found climbing spikes completely encased in trees . Sometimes wood is destined to be firewood .
I’m going to mill parts of this maple . It was a yard tree but it’s got a huge burl on it so I’ll chance ruining an expensive ripping chain on it
