Ummmm let’s talk about this 5.7
1999+ Silverados/Sierras didn’t come with 5.7s from the factory.
Your 2001 Silverado should have a 4.8 or 5.3, unless it’s a V6 then a 4.3. Then if you have a 1500HD, a 6.0 is what you see under the hood.
Just check the 8th digit of the vin to figure out the engine size.
For the gen III LS motors:
W = 4.3
V = 4.8
T = 5.3
U = 6.0
