Most motors have the tailshaft offset 1/2 to 1 inch towards the passenger side. That’s to compensate for the pinion being offset the same.
You need the centreline of the motor parallel to the centreline of the pinion.
You can get some weird vibrations if not set up right.

Jop I am aware my crossmember allows to adjust L+R.
To make up for that.
For now I eyeballed it tailshaft to the rear end yoke.
And it looks pretty straight I also had a rope running just to see where we at.
