Lightbulb Repaired the tabs on my gauge cluster lens

This was a cheap easy fix - I'm sure someone has done the same thing before, but I figured I'd post it cause it really seems to have worked well.

I decided to fix the tabs on my gauge cluster lens as I was getting tired of it being "barley held in" by the one or two screws that still have anything to screw through. I didn’t really want to buy a new one, so I fixed mine with some brass sheet and some scrap Lexan.

Each tab was pretty much gone, but still had at least part of the original hole - enough to act as an anchor point. I cut out some strips of brass as reinforcement and carved out some Lexan bits to fill in the areas where there was no plastic. Then I keyed it with some 80 grit and put it all together with epoxy.

So basically it rebuilds each tab and then sandwiches it between some brass for added strength.
