I procured a set of seats out of an 03 silverado. I really like the comfort of these, and that the seatbelts are integrated into the seat. So i dont have to mount my own.

These seats are much larger than i had initially thought, truck cabs nowadays are much larger than older..

In order to make them sit low enough i had to recess the floor. I cut out the raised conflicting locations of the stock floor, and boxed them out with flat sheet metal. This is required at 3 locations for both the passenger and driver's side.

The seats sit alot better now, still big, but better. I cleaned up the welds and drilled the necessary holes. I will still need to reinforce the mount locations below the cab, as the seats are responsible for stopping me in a crash...
