Question Re: OBDii connector

well bringing this back to the top.. aarrgg.. I tried to read the ecm & HP Tuners indicates that the port has power, but it can not "wake up" or communicate with/to the ECM??? I think I have the data wires connected right, but now not sure. I have been told that I do not need the "lscan" wire (pin 18 serial data wake up" from the ECM, but again not sure, it does not seem to make a difference in the lack of reading whether connected or not. I am at a loss right now.. I have "called in a few life lines" and to no avail!. hope fully someone on here.... IE ls1nova...LOL, can lend a hand...

information: 2013 4.8LS with OG trans, ECM,TCM,fuse box and factory wires (X1-X5 connectors). the obd port is a 6 wire new canbus connector pinned as below:
pin info:
2 20ga PPL CLASS 2 SERIAL DATA (pin 18 "serial data wake up" lscanbus wire)
4 18ga BLK GROUND
5 18ga BLK GROUND
6 20ga TAN/BLK CAN (+) hscanbus
14 20ga TAN CAN (-) hscanbus
16 16ga ORN BATTERY (12V)
