I really wanted a hood vent to show off my turbo and let out some of the heat from it. Level7 Motorsports has them for C10's but I couldnt justify spending hundreds on them and I really didnt want something so large (they cover most of the hood).
This is the actual reason I started playing with CAD. I found some universal ones but they were in aluminum and I wanted stainless to match my fender exit trim ring.
So here is what I end up with.
I also had a support ring cut that is going to be bolted underneath. I used that part as a template to drill as well.
I did my best not to mess the paint up too much. Lucky for me my paint is trash so I didnt have to worry too much.
I think the stainless really goes well together. I wonder what it will be like when I make a hard pull on a cold night.
