Re: The Great White Landshark

Alright I've been a huge time slacker and had alot of lost motivation with this truck after the u-joint was re-done and still wobbled under power so I finally got some motivation from 502ms and a few other members and got to work last night and measured the new u-joint end cap width 3.63" vs the rear end's yok inside width 3.76" so that means I have about .13 of unused space to let it wobble around under power which is alot for any tolerance. Now I'm just curious because they told us there was only one type of u-joint for this driveline/rear end I don't believe that because theres no way their tolerance is that large. I run the CNC's in a machine shop and we get in trouble for anything over .0015 of a distance so there must be another type out there to use.

I'll look into that this next week.

Now for the big news I pulled my carb off because the truck certainly stumbled and popped and farted whenever we drove it. so time for a rebuild I'm keeping the Edelbrock 1407 750 cfm because it ran this carb since 92 out of the box never adjusted aside from a 1/2 turn on the idle so in shell stay. A man I was recommended is rebuilding it today as I type this so I'll be ready to pick it up in a couple hours and maybe re-install before sundown and try it out.

it decided to leave a bolt in the intake but that'll be easy to pull out

Also a little bit of California dreamin for the Landshark so year...
