you should check with local authorities because if you change from a stock light you may need to also add a side marker,
sorry, just sayin. some areas are stricter than others.
some lights offer a lens that "sticks out" past the housing so it works as a side marker. there are also those little led button lights that can add some flavor to the truck while being small, cheap and easily placed or removed as the build moves along. they come in various colors with clear or colored lens
