Re: Delco Radio Restoration: I Recommend....

[QUOTE=toms68cst;8917921]Looks like a very comprehensive list. I restore vintage audio equipment too but not professionally. I am limited in my test equipment. Someday I need to get my AM radio out and service it.

Any pictures of the refurbished unit?[/QUOTE

The only cosmetics he did was cleaning the dial lense, new decals and polishing the push buttons. the face plate is still pitted but I couldn't care less as I'm thrilled with the results. the only problem I have now is the number of stations it pulls in and overlaps since I'm near a major metro area. Its also amazing how many modern electronic devices put out a signal/noise of some type. goes away as soon as I pull away from the house. no ignition noise whatsoever. I grounded the radio directly to the frame and the frame to the engine block. amazing how many electrical gremlins can be cured with a good ground.
