Hmm, that could be part of the problem.
Popped the top off the carb this afternoon to discover lots of dirt in the bowl. The fuel filter was dirty as well, so not sure if the dirt was from sitting or pulled up from the tank.
I cleaned everything best as I could for now and put it back together so I wouldn't lose any parts.
Penny runs a little better now, but I want to get a rebuild kit for the whole carb and start with some fresh gaskets. Have to order it though since none of the parts stores around here sell it. Also need to get a whole lot of new vacuum hose.
Next task is to drop the transmission pan, replace the filter, add fresh fluid, and hope the transmission works properly
