glad to see you used the paint and not wax. my son's 68 elco had wax undercoating. any time we welded on it, the wax would catch on fire. out of fear of a run away fire, i chained my dodge 4x4 locked in 4 low to it when welding. the elco was on stands with all wheels removed, i figured it would be easier to fix the barn wall, than to watch the barn burn to the ground. never did need to use my fire exit strategy, but we did have a few times where the hose came in handy.
