So I pulled the trigger. Literally the drill trigger. I removed the clips and cut about an inch off of the curved part and started drilling and screwing and it worked. The passenger side works just as I would like. The driver side is almost as good. When the window is all the way up it pushes out the outside door skin a little bit. I think I still need to take the window out and readjust how it sits in the channel. Window down and window up
