Re: 2000/2001/2002 S10 in England - Advice please.

I had a 97 model, 4 banger with 5 speed. The jump seats rattled a lot, no matter what I did. The one main thing I have heard friends and folks that had them a while was the heater cores were always clogging up. Probably from the GM Dexcool. I did not have mine that long (18 months, put on 50K). I thought the seats made you sit too low, compared to the full size. For me it was a bit cramped feeling. Not as bad as my 64, but real close. I think the extended cab was the only thing that made it feel roomier, but leg room for my frame and big feet were lacking.

4.3 V6 look for coolant leaks on the intake ( which I think is why many folks have the heater clogging issue). The rear main seals ten to leak, so that could be another issue. The 4L60 is not a strong trans from the get go, but they can last if taken care of and they were not abused. Biggest issue I saw with them is folks towing with them and wanting to leave them in overdrive. With a nice cat back system they sound very good too!
