1972 chev pick up starting problem
Hey guys new to this site so hopefully I'm gonna by about this the right way. I just picked up a 72 Chevy 4x4. I put a new fuel pump and fuel lines on it cause the pump was gone. The truck runs great but only if I dump gas down the carb to get it going. After i prime it the truck runs great and I can shut it down and fire it up a half hour later but if I wait a couple hours it has to be primed again. It's a 350 with a Qjet carb. The truck has also been sitting for ten years. Should I pull the carb and rebuild or just take it apart and clean it ? Still new to the world of wrenching so not to sure we're to start.
