The tank having to hang so low below the back of the truck is exactly why I decided not to run a similar one. That would be a personal choice if you don't mind the tank hanging down where everyone behind you sees it and don't worry about gas spilling out when the tank is full when you park aimed uphill a bit if you run a vented cap. I remember that all too well on some car I had 30 years ago. It would be best to run a non vented cap and either vent the tank though a charcoal filter under the hood or a tube running up in one of the stake pockets high enough so that you didn't worry about spills.
