Personally I would use a dial indicator and just measure it. Take a measurement of the top of the pinion to the top of the nut before removing the yoke. Set the new and old parts on a flat surface and measure the depths of the yoke, washer, and nut. Adjust the original measurement and tighten the new assembly down that far. This should keep everything the same and alot easier than pulling the chunk.
