I’d recommend keeping every receipt for everything. If no receipt, keep a handwritten log what you paid for it. Because if the IRS puts you in a position where you have to report gross profit off that 1099 income, you’ll need that cost basis to prove you only made $50 or whatever on that $600 item you sold.
