Got the 396 66 chevelle oil pan on and it solved my problems. For anyone who looks at this thread later down the road, I used stock sbc motor mounts that came with the frame, and a 396 66 oil pan with no trouble, i have about 1/4 inch of clearance. I did move the stock crossmember forward 2 inches to help with any firewall clearance i might have also so i can use a factory square body front driveshaft.

Starting to make forward progress. Also the boyd welding fuel tank came in.
