The spring perches on 2WD vs. 4WD are different. I think the 4WD perch width is like 40" where the 2WD is like 42 1/2" or something. I ran into this a while back on my 4wd build. As far as the pinion angle I measured mine while it was bolted up to the springs before I cut the perches off. Then I bolted the axle up with new perches, centered the axle, set the pinion angle, then welded them onto the axle. I bought a magnetic angle gauge from harbor freight and it works just fine.
