Longhorn thank you so much for this information. I am leaning towards grinding the end of the shafts I think. Not sure if I can find any thinner c-clips although the c-clips world be easier. If I grind I’ll have to figure out how to do so while staying square with the end of the shaft. Wish I had a machine shop close by!
