Re: Bagged 1968 Suburban

Well there fancy control box stopped working...I bought it used but new.so I need to buy a $200 controller. I did run it just off a dimmer switch but honestly its hard to remember after being on the freeway for hours to turn it off when you stop for fuel. Not turning it off is supposed to be bad. A major issue I was not made aware of is the the GV is not strong when reversing so backing up a heavy trailer is hard on them. Only time will tell.

With where our Canadian dollar exchange at $1.30 per US dollar now I don't think I would buy another one as it would cost over $4000 and feel a 4L80 is a better option

My dad was looking at a gearvendors and we deciswd to do a 4L80E swap I guess only time will tell what one works out better.
