Re: My '67 Fleetside C10 renew

Off topic but the Purdy truck is a POS. I'd noticed a harsh noise on the 1-2 shift, brought it to the dealer and took the service advisor for a ride. He heard it too, so he took their trans specialist for a ride. He heard it too and claimed it was normal and the sound was coming from a solenoid. I'm no transmission specialist or ASE anything but I am certified as a fluid power specialist and have about 20 years experience in automated fluid power systems. Been around a few solenoid valves. I felt he was trying to ram sunshine up my arse. Long story short, POS made a huge WHACK this afternoon and she's stuck in like 4th or 5th gear. Still under bumper to bumper so the tow truck is headed over in the morning and I'm looking at a service loaner. They said the transmission dude is pretty backed up so it might be a "while" before they get to mine. That buyer's remorse is kickin' in hard now boys!!!
