The spider represents how much time you were in prison, aka "The Big House," not jail. The larger the web, the more time you spent in the "joint."
I was talking to a somewhat friendly parolee one time (as a side note, I enjoyed talking to those guys. I always learned something from them). As we were chatting, I asked him about his tattoos. We always documented them, he knew the routine
. Anyway, I asked him what he thought about the people who had the web tattoos. He minced no words, and I will not repeat them here. Just suffice to say he "earned" his and it made him mad when he saw Joe Schmuckatelly wearing them on his elbow.
The tear drop next to the eye generally means you murdered someone. There are a couple of other meanings for it, but generally that's what that one stands for.
