Re: Leaf spring sliders

The chryslers use a short shackle on the rear of the leaf spring and they tend to bind up under power. If you put super stock springs or other performance springs with a different rate you run out of shackle length and thats where the sliders came to be on the chryslers. It allows the spring to travel back as the arc comes out of the spring smoothly and with out bind to keep the car planted better. I have not seen one of our trucks run into spring bind at the shackle and really dont think the chrysler ones are intended for use under a truck.
