I don't have drop spindles so my control arms have about 5" of clearance under them. My truck is about a 5.5/8 drop and i have just as much clearance underneath as a stock sports car. I have never once bottomed out on anything except the bump stops. Thats the one disavantage of drop spindles. Instantly puts the control arm 2-3" closer to the pavement. As long as you can align it afterwards then you are ok... I am only going to install drop spindles when I bag the front. I'll be able to raise the front way up to drive it anyways so clearance wont be an issue. I'll try to take a pic this week of the clearance under my front end. Im not saying this is the way anyone else should do it, Im just saying spindles cause ground clearance issues when you start running big drops and small tires.
