A little more floor repair...lots to go.
Also, it turns out that about 50% of the exhaust manifold bolts are broken off in the head on that 5.3. Apparently, this is common. An old timer told me to use a propane torch...that it wouldn't get hot enough to damage the aluminum. I successfully removed them all.
