Acid cleaning the bench seat frame
using baking soda to wash off the bench seat frame
I like to follow up with a wire wheel on a 4.5" angle grinder (good high RPMs) a lot of guys use a drill but that is not even close to being as effective
these took five minutes to wire wheel

and yes the acid got into the nooks and cranies, manual hand wire brushes help, flat screw driver as a scraper helps, use what ever you gots bro
