first pry open that clamp and pull the cable through to reach the pedal second you have the wrong grommet in the fire wall its square and the right one will have the correct diameter hole these aftermarket cables suck I had to put a small hose clamp on either side of mine at the pedal side to keep it from sliding back and forth Im headed out to my grange to take some pictures for you but if Im understanding your problem I hope this helps
