All the 4wd 1/2 ton trucks were 6 lug. The only way it would be a "heavy half"(that term wasn't used on these trucks) would be if there is F44 in the RPO godes in the glovebox.

Most likely your truck does not have that code, and your GVW is 6,000-6,100 pounds.

You'll need to get your truck on a scale and see how much it weighs with a full tank of fuel and you in it. Then subtract that from your GVW and that is your max payload.

I can look up VINs and see all of the RPO codes but my program only goes back to 1992.

Can you post a pic of the RPO codes in your glovebox?
