I have stitched a few of them. The hardest part for me is finding a heavy thread the right color. I usually use Coats & Clarks "Carpet And Button Thread" It is about the right weight.....

I don't know what exact thread she used but, she does upholstery work, as well as making chain mail jewelry, on the side so I'm sure she used the right stuff.
