Well, I went through his thread and reviewed all the work he put into making it work and look right. I believe I can live with a 2-3 inch higher floor! Derek is a craftsman on a higher level then me.  Really, I'm not sure I'll need the raised floor, but I do want the wood floor. Who knows what'll happen...
