Re: The Neverending Longhorn 11/01-current

"Whats the deal with Painters???"

There are thousands of posts on here about painters.......unfortunatley yours is one of about 90% of every person who has ever had paint and body work during on a restoration.

A little something I learned over the past 25 years of dealing with them.

1) NEVER give them money up front
2) pay in stages AFTER that particular stage is done. Body work, primer,
color.
3) agree on a time frame and put it in writing
4) have a contract drawn up stating it can be removed from the shop
without a mechanics lien if it is not completed in the agreed time.

Most paint/body people wont do the above........NOW YOU NO WHY!!!

If they cant front the money for the materials......go somewhere else!
Scan the parking lot and shop.....see how many vehicles are in pieces scattered all over the place. If there are more cars than bays....go somewhere else.
