Question Blue K/5 K/10 Spicer hub dial restoration

Has anyone come up with a proven process to eliminate the chalkiness on the plastic blue OEM K/5 K/10 Spicer hub dials? Mine are in great condition except for the 53 years of exposure. I do not have plier marks or other defects.

I was thinking of bead blasting or chemically stripping a mediocre spare dial if nobody offers up any info.
