I have a 65 GMC with a 230 in it as well. I am trying to figure out the colour of the motor. Mine looks like this one, that is, an orange block, a blue head and a red Chevrolet valve cover. I kinda see blue in this pic, am I right. Was this standard, or has someone pieced the motor together. I have seen motors completely blue, have seen others completely orange. From the vin number I know my truck was built in the Fremont plant in California. Any light on the matter would be appreciated.
