Interesting that you have mentioned cars. My work today (Used parts for Antique Full Size Chevy cars) includes the '60's models.
Yes - I had a couple short stints at the various GM proving grounds, but the rest of my time has been in design, release, development, assembly engineering and new product launch.

My passenger car interest and expertise is relative to mid 60's Pontiac models.
