Hood adjustment 411:
Make sure you don't have fender-to-hood rubber bumpers that are hard, they should be soft and pliable.
Install hinge bolts and close hood slowly, being careful hood does not hit cowl when closing.
If it hits the cowl that means it needs to be adjusted forward. Loosen bolts 4 and 5 and pull hood forward some and tighten bolts. Re-test.
If it shuts well but rear of hood is raised, it needs to be adjusted down. Open hood all the way and loosen bolts 1 and 2. Loosen 3 just a little bit. Push up on the hood at the front in the latch pin area, and while holding it up, tighten bolts 1 and 2. Re-test. If good, open hood and tighten bolt 3.
