Re: 1985 S-Blazer in Az

Today I was able to clean up after Halloween, and then make and weld up a trailer ‘receiver’ behind the license plate. Tomorrow I’ll pick up some 2-inch tubing to make the flag holder for Saturdays Flag Run.
Got the rear axle installed with the new updated link bars. Installed the driveline and might go back out here in about 30 minutes to install the brake calipers, tires and get Balzer back on the ground.
The modifications to the fuel cell seem to be right on par with what I wanted, as I can see through the unpainted (yuck) fuel door right into the fuel filler.
While I still had the fuel pump assembly out of the tank, I powered it up and checked the fuel gauge to make sure it was reading correctly and without any ‘dead’ spots. This is still the original 2005 Colorado pump assembly. The engine, trans, fuel pump, wiring, and engine accessories have 112k on them.
So all in all, Balzer should be drivable tomorrow morning, and fingers crossed the dang noise is gone..
