I searched the thread before asking this...so here goes.
I have an 88' C1500 I want to swap a 5.3 into. Here's my issue. I have a brand new rebuilt 700R4 overdrive that has all the upgraded internals. I know I could easily sell it and find a 4l60(e) and run the factory 5.3/auto harness... but I will eventually be swapping in a T56 6 speed. So for now I want to just swap in the 5.3. I have not found anything that allows you to hook up the detent cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
