On an eddy carb the last thing to do is bend up a solid line. Use rubber fuel line until you determine whether you need a fuel regulator or a heat spacer.. saves a bunch of frustration.
I bought a tubing bender at Home Depot like this one from harbour freight. Used pre flared pieces of tubing in short lengths bought at the parts store.
