As for more HP, a cam would wake it up a bit. I have a stage 2 truck cam from BTR in my 6.0 and it's a good cam. If I were to do another LS swap, I would look for a Gen V LT engine - either a 5.3 (355 HP) or a 6.2 (420 HP). Those engines are a little less friendly to swap, but they make great power and I've seen 5.3/6 or 8 spd trans combos going for $3500 plus shipping or 6.2/6 or 8 speeds going for $6500 plus shipping.
