Look Ma, no sidemarkers.
There is an allure for a 327 in a shortbed smallwindow stepside that's flat out cool. I will admit.

So I'll ask about the L6 that came out... Was it a 230? 230 L6 heads were supposed to be tighter and have smaller stuff -- making for a free compression boost if bolted on a larger L6 like a 292. If they don't blow up.
250 is the most common. MY 1967 was the last year for 230s in trucks.
The 292 [4.8L] started in MY 1963. And continued until the GMT 400.

I've been a Desert Dog since '71.
