The '63-'66's that had factory power steering, were actually power assist steering. The pitman arm attached to a valve assembly which controlled a hydraulic cylinder attached to a bracket off of the back of the steering box, and to the draglink. This is the same setup that was used on the Corvette's for many years. I believe it was used thru the end of the production of the C3's.
