Re: Spindle question

Rear wheel - 15x8.5 4" BS. Leaves 4.5"+ (roughly) bead-to-bead. Wider if you measure lip to lip.

Front wheel - 15x7. 3.75 BS. Relative to the rear leaves 3.25" +

So your front vs rear will be slightly different just considering the offset.

Modulars will narrow your front track width where the regular (non modular) will widen the track width slightly.

Just something to consider. But, I agree with 3.75BS on a 7" wheel you should be ok.

What you run into with 15" wheels is clearance issues on the LCA turning to the lock. And depending on the drop in the spindle it can actually get into the wheel at the lower ball joint area.

Think about it like this. You have a circle 15" in diameter. The center of that circle is at 7.5". Dropped spindles will raise that center point UP .. whatever the amount of drop. Let's say 3" spindle. Now, that center point has 4.5" of clearance on the wheel vs 7.5 it had before. Heres a pic. (Borrowed, not my truck)

All trucks are different but I've used 7s on the front before. No problems. I like McGaughys spindles personally. Highly recommended.
