I agree on B and T, but the second blade on B is probably to feed another electric gauge, like maybe fuel. The gray/black strip is just to insulate the terminals from the case, so the break shouldn't cause any problems.

Now just to satisfy my curiosity, where did you get a sending unit for this gauge that will fit an American engine?
